Project Summary

I had the opportunity to design the branding and web site for Professional Development for Congregational Leaders (PDCL), a Kenyan based NGO / non-profit that provides leadership training and support to Catholic Religious Sisters currently in leadership roles. It was part of an 18-month project through an international partnership between the School for New Learning, DePaul University, Chicago IL USA and the Centre for Leadership Management, Tangaza University, Nairobi, Kenya, funded by a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.

PDCL did not have a brand or website when I came on. They were a two-year old organization and their focus had been on developing a program and training presenters. They wanted a site that would enable them to market their leadership training programs and to share their large archives of leadership materials.

I worked with stakeholders and facilitated them in defining and clarifying project goals and shaping written content. Collaborated closely with team members to develop information architecture, user experience, visual design and branding. Evaluated, recommended and implemented a commercial WordPress template and multiple plug-ins; customized the visual design using CSS and HTML.
